Dana White Claims Better Fights to Come on TUF 10

Ok, so after all the hoopla surrounding last week’s “Ultimate Fighter” bout between Kimbo Slice and Roy Nelson, the fight didn’t exactly live up to the hype. (Almost as badly as Phantom Menace- and that’s saying a lot) In fact, despite insistences from Dana White and the members of the TUF 10 that this season was going to be the sh#t, so far the fights have been…meh. In week one, John Madsen took Abe Wagner down at will and used his head to paint the Octagon floor blood red, and in week two, James McSweeney outscored Wes Shivers for the decision win, in a ‘whose gasping for air now’ affair.

Now to be fair, we’re only three episodes in, so perhaps greener and more entertaining pastures lie ahead, which is apparently the message UFC President Dana White is trying to send. (Thanks to FiveKnuckles.com)

“Before this season started, I went out and told everybody this is a great season. I said that it was great before it aired and I told everybody this wasn’t promoter bullshit. It’s a really good season. Lots of cool shit happens. It’s a great season. I was disappointed in the first three fights. The first three fights that happened on the show, I wasn’t crazy about. It gets better from here on out. The fights pick up after this.”

Yes, come to think of it, aren’t we told heading into every season by White and the show’s cast members that it’s ‘the best ever’, ‘super crazy’ or ‘unbelievable.’ And come to think of it, don’t we usually watch every single episode regardless?
