Report: Brock Lesnar’s Illness “Nothing Life Threatening”

Yet more news has surfaced that should put to rest any lingering conspiracy theories regarding whether or not Brock Lesnar is truly ill (only people who talk to beings on the X planet, via their tinfoil helmet, are still in denial that the UFC champ is really sick), as Dana White revealed after last night’s UFC 105 card, that Lesnar has actually take a turn for the worse. Originally it was believed that the accomplished wrestler was sick with the flu, and more recently, it was reported that Lesnar had been diagnosed with mononucleosis. Unfortunately, the promotion isn’t sure, when the champion will be able to bounce humans around the Octagon again.
Although White’s statements has apparently sparked rampant speculation as to just how serious Lesnar’s condition is, the heavyweight champ’s camp have reportedly told MMA Weekly:
“Nothing life threatening like the reports, just some complications with his illness and he had to be hospitalized for antibiotics.”
So that’s the good news, sounds like the Minnesota Monster is going to be okay after all, the bad news is that the promotion’s premier heavyweights continue to rack up injuries. First the Lesnar, Shane Carwin bout was kyboshed due to Lesnar’s illness, now apparently Carwin is recovering from a knee injury, and that awesome heavyweight tilt between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Cain Velasquez inked for January 2nd? Big Nog apparently has a staph infection and is off the card. Damn!
Get well soon gentlemen. Get well soon.
